Summer 2014 is just about over and the kids have been back in school almost a month now. We’re about to celebrate the last holiday of the summer and it looks like we are going to have some nice weather. I’m sure things are starting to get settled down and just about everyone has their routine down but remember if you happen to get in a fender bender, we are here to get your vehicle back looking good. We work with all insurance companies. If you have never had an accident before and don’t know what to do, bring us your accident report and we will help you with each step of the process. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed Labor Day weekend!
Well..It's that time of the year again,,,,HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!! We are so thankful and grateful for our many customers, not just at special times of the year, but all year around. Most of our customers are long term and they keep coming back not only when they have an accident but for other things. We also do the following: change light bulbs, fix door hinges, repair upholstery, and many other minor repairs that might be needed along life's way.
WINTER PREP PLEASE make sure your vehicle is ready for the winter months. Check your anti-freeze and all of your fluid levels. Keep a can of DE-ICER in your vehicle to keep those windshields clean and clear. Check your tires and make sure they have sufficient tread and the air pressure is correct. The right tire pressure will also help with gas mileage. PLEASE remember that a little rain, ice or snow can be the most dangerous. It lifts the oils out of the pavement and can make for some hazardous driving conditions. Please practice safe driving. When in doubt, stay home!!! THANK YOU !!!! Again, thank you to all of our customers, you have helped us to grow by recommending us to your friends and relatives, We would not be celebrating 31 years of QUALITY SERVICE without you!!! HAVE A VERY BLESSED NEW YEAR!!!! A number of years ago I got 2 speeding tickets in 2 days!!!! I know, I know, I know but moving right along, I had to go to drivers school!!! I wasn't the only old lady there :) but I was the most outspoken, and if you know me you know that is the truth, anyway I digress. I always thought that rain or snow conditions on the road were when most accidents occured but he said that most road accidents occur when the sun is shinning bright!!!
I did however learn a few important facts, with the most important one being MOST ACCIDENTS HAPPEN FROM 7-9 AM AND FROM 3-7 PM!!! Well being my usual self, I asked why ?? The officer teaching the class said it is because that is when school is in session !! Parent and teenagers are always in a hurry durning those hours and that causes them to become careless!!! ALL of that to say this, PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE EXTRA CAREFUL IN THE AM AND PM HOURS listed above but if you need us, please feel free to call ! I recently complained to MACK that the air conditioner in my car had to be broken!!!! He laughed at me....LAUGHED at me and said " Sweetheart it's 100 degrees outside...nothing is wrong!!! WELLLLL I declared that it was and he insisted that it was ok and guess who won ???? MACK!!!
He pulled my car into the shade and let the entire dashboard area cool down and then checked the temp of the outgoing air and YES he was right...It's just so hot now that even the air in all of the lines are HOT HOT HOT!!! Soooo, all of that to say...do not despair when the temps drop a degree or two your AC will be right back where it needs to be and you will be COOL AGAIN!!!! Keep a check on all of your fluids. Tires might also need a little extra TLC...If you have a bad one or even one close to being "slick" please be careful because it seems they will BLOW OUT on a day when the air feels like its 111 degrees like it does today !! **** A SPECIAL NOTE.. IF you have a son or a daughter who will be using a vehicle to go back and forth either to high school or to college, PLEASE take the time to not only safety check the vehicle but also to TEACH them how to care for the vehicle. ( When a teenager comes in the shop and they have had a fender bender, I always ask them to sit close to me when I am doing their estimate so I can show them the repair process and the COST!!! I hope that someone would do the same for me...and we are never too old to learn a lesson ) Enough about the weather...TAKE CARE and if you have any problems or even a question, Please feel free to call me @ 256-773-4999 WATER LEAKS in a car..YES!!!! We have a vehicle here now with a water leak ...but not the usual kind. We usually see leaks from the air conditioner. YOU can tell when the AC is the culprit because the water is no longer running from underneath the vehicle. The cowl ( the part right in front of the windshield) has a screen in it to keep leaves and debris from getting into the AC drain tube. Leaves and etc can work their way into the drain tube and that is when your problems begin!!! One of our employees..and yes he knew better :)... allowed his to get stopped up and the overflow started on his vacation!!!! Not a fun time, right??
The Vehicle has to be brought into the shop and depending on the amount of water damage can be costly to repair. We have repaired cars that the seats had to be removed, electronics runined and had to be replaced and carpet had to even be changed out, all because of pine straw!!! SOOOOOO..the next time you raise your hood and you see leaves and etc along the "cowl panel" PLEASE take the time to remove them and from time to time vacumn out the screen..It might save you alot more than time in the end!!!! |
